About the Report

Each year, United Educators (UE) members share their independent K-12 school’s most pressing risks in the Top Risk Survey. This year’s survey reveals the self-reported top risks across the UE K-12 membership and notes changes over the past few years. Members also commented on the impact of employee retention and hiring on their ability to manage risk. Use this report to compare your school’s risks against the UE membership.

About UE
UE provides liability insurance and risk management services to about 1,600 members representing K-12 schools, colleges, and universities throughout the United States.

Key Takeaways

  • While enrollment is the number one risk again, recruitment and hiring jumped to become one of K-12 education’s top risks.
  • Data security dropped in priority for the first time in this survey’s history.
  • Many members report that the difficult labor market has not affected their ability to manage risk.
