What Is ASRG?

Aquatic Safety Research Group (ASRG) is dedicated to improving aquatic safety through risk management, research, and facility evaluations.

Founded by Dr. Tom Griffiths, a leading expert in drowning prevention and aquatic safety, ASRG has helped identify and reduce risk for universities, municipalities, and aquatic facilities across the United States and internationally.

For decades, ASRG has focused on one central mission: helping facilities proactively identify hazards and implement practical solutions before incidents occur. Through evidence-based safety audits and consulting services, ASRG supports facility leaders in strengthening safety systems, improving operational protocols, and enhancing overall risk management practices.

How Does the Safety Audit Work?

• Open water environments on campus (if applicable), including access points and risk exposure
• Overall facility risk management practices aligned with industry standards

After the audit, institutions receive a comprehensive written report outlining findings, strengths, and recommended improvements to enhance safety and reduce risk exposure.
