In her role on UE’s Risk Research team, Melanie dives into timely topics affecting education. Her areas of expertise include protecting minors, enterprise risk management (ERM), technology accessibility, and athletics. Prior to joining UE, she interned at the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights. Melanie serves on the Higher Education Protection Network’s (HEPNet’s) Board of Directors.

Michael Ambrose
Founder and CEO, CampDoc
Dr. Michael Ambrose, founder and CEO of CampDoc, earned his M.D. from the University of Michigan Medical School and is a board-certified pediatrician. Dr. Ambrose has authored several youth program health and safety research studies, including the American Academy of Pediatrics Improving Health and Safety at Camp policy statement. Michael is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and has published and presented studies on camp and school health at conferences for the American Academy of Pediatrics, the World Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine, the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine, and Pediatric Academic Societies. Michael has been involved in camp and school health for over 15 years, working closely with the American Camp Association (ACA), Alliance for Camp Health (ACH), Higher Education Protection Network (HEPNet) and University Risk Management and Insurance Association (URMIA). He remains devoted to creating innovative solutions for camps and schools.
