Bethesda, Md., April 4, 2024 — Business Insurance magazine has honored Samantha Ware, a United Educators (UE) claims resolutions team leader, with a 2024 Break Out Award. She is one of 40 outstanding insurance professionals recognized nationwide. The award comes due to her inclusive leadership style, commitment to bringing a human touch to service, and focus on continuous learning.

“Samantha keeps our member experience central to all her efforts,” UE President and CEO Richard Mills said. “She brings that caring approach to everything she does including resolving claims, leading her team, and fostering an inclusive culture across UE.”

Samantha started at UE in an entry-level claims position and has earned three promotions during her nearly 12 years with the company. Now a Senior Resolutions Analyst, she leads a team of four analysts who handle litigated and non-litigated matters for K-12 schools, colleges, and universities. When Samantha took over the Mid-Atlantic region in 2021, her team was short-staffed and adapting to new hybrid workplace norms. She has helped develop staff, strengthened business operations, and guided thoughtful, compassionate claims resolution for our members.

Along with being a mentor to many colleagues, Samantha is also a leader within UE’s Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Alliance (IDEA). In partnership with Human Resources, she focuses on initiatives related to personal and professional development.

Business Insurance’s 2024 U.S. Insurance Awards honor professionals with up to 15 years of experience working on specific projects in the commercial insurance and risk management sector. Learn more about the awards here.
