United Educators Partners With Aquatic Safety Research Group

Bethesda, Md., May 28, 2026 — United Educators (UE) has partnered with Aquatic Safety Research Group (ASRG) to help K-12 schools, colleges, and universities strengthen aquatic safety programs. Eligible institutions that complete a specialized aquatic safety audit through ASRG can earn insurance premium credit.

ASRG audits help institutions identify strengths, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement in aquatic environments such as pools, natatoriums, recreation centers, and open water areas. The evaluations focus on facility conditions, safety systems, policies, and environmental risks — not personnel performance.

In an increasingly complex insurance environment, proactive risk management can help institutions better understand evolving exposures and strengthen safety practices before incidents occur.

“UE is continually looking for innovative, practical ways to help members address education-specific risks,” said Sarah Braughler, UE’s Vice President of Risk Management and External Relations. “This partnership gives eligible institutions access to specialized aquatic safety expertise, helping them identify vulnerabilities, prioritize improvements, strengthen protections for their communities, and earn premium credit.”

“ASRG’s work is grounded in a simple goal: helping aquatic facilities reduce risks while supporting safe, positive swimming experiences,” said Dr. Tom Griffiths, founder of ASRG. “We look forward to helping UE members take a proactive approach to aquatic safety.”

ASRG will provide a discount for its service to UE members.

Eligible institutions reduce their premium through UE’s Risk Management Premium Credit (RMPC) program. For more information on how to apply and earn the UE premium credit, visit ue.org/rmpc.
