Three From United Educators Join 2024 Class of Emerging Leaders
Bethesda, Md., Dec. 20, 2023 — The American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA) selected three United Educators (UE) employees to the 2024 class of Emerging Leaders.
These UE employees are among the 201 insurance professionals to receive the honor:
- Anita Jones, IT Operations Manager
- Erich Renken, Director of Learning Design and Enablement
- Carl Sisco, Director of Underwriting
“Anita, Erich, and Carl each contribute to UE’s continued market leadership,” said Rick Mills, UE’s President and CEO. “They bring key ingredients to our recipe for success as the preeminent provider of insurance and risk management services to education.”
APCIA describes emerging leaders as “making a significant impact” on topics including business transformation; customer service; artificial intelligence; privacy and tech innovations; legal and regulatory issues; and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
“Executives in the insurance industry are prioritizing talent recognition and retention strategies, which is demonstrated by the record number of nominations the 2024 Emerging Leaders program received,” said Marguerite Tortorello, Managing Director of the Insurance Careers Movement.
Honorees will attend the 2024 Emerging Leaders Conference from Feb. 4-6 in San Antonio. The event is hosted by APCIA, Insurance Careers Movement, and AM Best. The conference brings together rising stars in the insurance industry and offers insights on executive leadership, networking opportunities, and a focus on professional and personal development.
“This year’s class of emerging leaders demonstrates that the industry is well-positioned to navigate the challenges ahead,” said Matt Mosher, President and CEO of AM Best.
