United Educators Appoints Bryan Elie as Vice President for Strategic Market Engagement
Bethesda, Md., March 9, 2026 — United Educators (UE) appointed Bryan Elie Vice President for Strategic Market Engagement, a new enterprise-level role focused on strengthening member and broker engagement and advancing market and distribution strategy.
The position underscores UE’s focus on member needs amid evolving conditions in the insurance and education sectors.
“Bryan’s deep industry experience and long-standing relationships across the education and brokerage communities make him uniquely positioned to strengthen our market engagement,” said UE President and CEO Rick Mills. “His leadership will help ensure our strategy is grounded in real-time insight and that our external partnerships remain central to our services.”
Elie joined UE in 1995 and has held several senior leadership roles, most recently serving as Vice President of Underwriting and Product Development. He has overseen underwriting strategy for new and renewal business, led product development initiatives, and guided enterprise growth. Prior to UE, he held underwriting and marketing roles at Aetna Casualty and Great American Insurance. Elie earned a Bachelor of Science in business from Wake Forest University and holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
