United Educators’ Risk Management Premium Credit (RMPC) program allows eligible members to receive a credit toward their premium by completing a set of risk management activities, including a risk survey about their most pressing risk management concerns. This comparison of top risks has been created from responses, provided by nearly 240 independent K-12 member schools, to the 2018-2019 survey.

- Admissions and retention were the top risk, with members citing several reasons including rising tuition, changing perception of the school’s value to college admission, and competing for students among other secondary schools.
- Sexual misconduct was the second-most common risk, with members citing several reasons including responding to allegations of past abuse, facing student-on-student sexual abuse, and suffering student sexual harassment.
- Operational pressures was the third-most common risk, with members citing several reasons including lacking adequate cash reserves, balancing priorities with a tight budget, and suffering depleted endowment.
