Programs & Services

At UE, we don’t just sell insurance—we are also committed to helping our members prevent losses before they occur. Risk management focuses on those practices that will enable an institution to meet its potential as an educator, employer, and member of the community by reducing the frequency and severity of claims. For our members, the effects of good risk management practices are far-reaching. UE member institutions serve as role models in their community and within our nation. Consequently, their good risk management practices can have an effect beyond their campus.

United Educators provides the following services to member institutions to help manage risks on campus. For more information about each of these services, please contact risk@ue.org.

Expert Consultation and Technical Assistance
Our risk management staff is broadly experienced in safety, employment law, and student affairs. Whether your question involves preventing discrimination or maximizing swimming pool safety, we can help. Our goal is to enhance your institution's risk managment efforts.

Bringing UE to You
UE’s regional workshops increase opportunities for members and brokers to meet face-to-face with UE’s expert staff to discuss critical risk management topics affecting institutions.

Telephone Roundtables
UE offers free bimonthly roundtable discussions for members and their brokers. It's easy to participate: just dial a specially designated toll-free number from the convenience of your office. You'll join UE members from across the country as they listen to a 35-minute presentation on a timely topic, followed by 25 minutes of questions and answers. All UE roundtable discussions begin at 1 p.m. Eastern Time.

Public School Information
UE's public school members have unique needs, and UE has unique services to meet them. Our annual Public School Conference brings experts on public school issues together with administrators and leaders from our public school member institutions. Three times a year Public School News delivers vital information on risks and trends to educators.

For more information on UE's products and services designed for public school districts and pools, please contact Fred Hintermister at (301) 215-9580 or fhintermister@ue.org.
