UE places a high priority on effective claims management. Our staff of claims attorneys is sensitive to the unique needs of educational institutions and specializes in resolving claims quickly and fairly. Because emergencies can occur any time, we offer around-the-clock access to a senior claims officer who is experienced in managing catastrophic claims and has the authority to make critical decisions.  

Ownership
As a member-owned company, each institution/policy holder owns a part of UE and has an investment in the company. Decisions made at UE are made in the best interest of our membership.

Risk Management
UE does not just sell insurance; we are committed to helping our members identify and prevent losses before they occur. This is our top priority. UE members have access to a wide variety of practical, education-specific risk management resources—publications, telephone roundtables, seminars—to improve their institution’s awareness of liability issues and to strengthen its ability to avoid or control losses.

Stability
UE’s mandate is to provide a long-term, stable alternative to the cyclical unavailability and erratic pricing of commercial liability insurance. Our only business is to provide risk management and insure educational institutions.
